Our friend Skip vonKuske's cello has been stolen. Here's what he told us: "Sometime between 11AM and 1PM today, my car window was broken and my cello was stolen! In broad daylight in front of the house. Its an orange brown color, with nail marks on the right side, made by Virgilio Capellini in Cremona, Italy 1982. It has a pickup, a Schubach bridge with a small coffee stain and is in a hard case covered in radio station bumper stickers. (Enclosed a pic) The tail piece is metal and scratched. The bow is made by HA Stohr and has a broken tip and brown leather grip." UPDATE: The cello was found in the trunk of an abandoned stolen car and was returned to the police by a good samaritan. Skip is very relieved and is happy to continue his career with this instrument! (You can hear him at www.skipvonkuske.com )
