Anya Kalina is a classically-trained singer, active performer and music educator in Portland, Oregon.

With extensive experience teaching voice and piano for adults and children, she is prepared to teach different ability levels and in different music styles. Being the only daughter of two  opera singers, she began studying music when very young. Growing up, she made several vocal recordings with Russia’s premier recording company and appeared in a number of television & radio programs and live concerts as a vocal and piano performer.

After earning a degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia, Ms. Kalina moved to Los Angeles, CA in early 2000s. In 2009 Portland became her home. As a lover of the Northwest, she plans to keep her roots here indefinitely.

She has taught and performed in New York, Portland, Los Angeles, Moscow, Russia and Vancouver, British Columbia.

As the Executive Artistic Director and Soprano soloist at local nonprofit Portland Chamber Music, she brings classical music performances to underserved communities in Portland.
